Semantic Web Chapters (work in progress)
| As “páginas” publicadas na WEB são desenhadas para serem lidas por homens, estes necessitam de sustentar as suas leituras num formalismo literário antigo: a um capítulo sucede outro, numa aparente sequência lógica.
No entanto a WEB foi desenhada sem este sentido literário, apesar de ser uma máquina literária; não concebe capítulos, nem sequências, nem significados.A WEB, mais precisamente a plataforma que a sustenta, é uma máquina que poderá, porém, vir a entender a informação que nela é depositada. Este trabalho, convenientemente dividido em capítulos, debruça-se sobre as hipóteses singulares de uma íntima aproximação entre o produtor de informação e o livro que ele produziu, um livro que lê, classifica, organiza e associa informação. The pages published on the web are designed to be read by men, who need to sustain their readings on an ancient literary formalism: one chapter succeeds the other, in an apparent logical sequence. However, the WEB was designed without this literary sense, despite being a literary machine; it doesn’t conceive chapters, or sequences, or meanings.The WEB, more precisely the platform that sustains it, is a machine that may come to understand the information deposited in it. This work, conveniently divided in chapters, leans over the unique circumstances for an intimate proximity linking the producer of the information and the book he produced, a book that reads, classifies, organizes and associates information. |
