Algumas das respostas obtidas sugerem a existência de uma quase vergonha perante a inacção, “quando não estou a fazer nada penso sobre aquilo que tenho de fazer”, “penso muito”. Outras apontam para acções externas que exerçam um contra-peso à interioridade extrema: “penso, mas andando a pé”.

Surgem, igualmente, inacções totais, exteriormente semelhantes a estados de catatonia, mas com variações interessantes, como a pessoa que se senta na cama após acordar, de olhar extasiado, imóvel, perdendo a noção do tempo externo, ou a que se deita no sofá desejando que esse mesmo tempo externo passasse mais depressa, ou mesmo a pessoa sem noção de ter passado por tal situação.

Neste trabalho colectivo mostramos cada um de nós num habitual nada.

(EN) In WYADWYADN? (What you are doing when you are doing nothing) we have asked an answer to a situation common to every single human being. We are intrigued by an internal condition that might have an observable external reflex.

WYADWYADN assumes there are parts of our day in which we are not “producing” nothing. Or not? The obtained answers suggest the existence of an almost shame when faced with inaction, “when I am not doing nothing I think about what I have to do”, “I think a lot”. Others point to external actions that create a counterweight to the extreme interiority felt: “I think, but while walking”.

Total inaction also appears, on the outside it’s visible and similar to a state of catatonia, but with interesting variations, like that of the person that sits on the bed after waking up, with gazed look, static, without notion of exterior time, or the one that lays in the sofa waiting for a fast-forward in time or even the person that has no recollection of being in such a condition. In this collective work we show each one of us in our usual nothing.
